Robert L Owens

Owens, Robert L, "Bobby", age 64 of Dayton, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2016. He grew up in Cincinnati and moved to Dayton, where he has resided for 16 years. Bobby loved to find forgotten treasures and share them with those he cared about and had a great knack for telling stories and tales. He was a loving, kind, and compassionate man and will be greatly missed by all who loved him, especially by his devoted wife, Kathy.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard J. and Geneva Owens; sisters, Fern, Phyllis, Judy; favorite sister, Geraldine; and granddaughter, Desiree Nicole Owens.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory wife of 15 years, Kathy (nee. Calim) Owens; daughters, Kim Stanley and Shawna Owens; son, Robert Owens, Jr.; sisters, Beverly (Jim) Royden and Patricia (late husband, Ronnie) Hamblin; brothers, Ronnie (Beth) Owens and Lenny Owens, Jr.; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A Visitation to be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439) on Friday, August 5, 2016 from 5pm-8pm. Graveside service at Calvary Cemetery on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 9am.
