Thomas L Wendling

WENDLING, Thomas L, age 82 of Moraine passed away peacefully, July 12, 2016. Thomas was born in Dayton to the late Charles Joseph and Clara Tacreada Wendling. He retired after many years of service from General Motors as an electrician. Thomas proudly served in United States Army, earning a Good Conduct Medal.

He also served as the Auto Worker's Union president. Tom was a loving, gentle, and caring father. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Inas Wendling; and siblings, Charles, Clara, and Virginia.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, children, Susan (William) Ingram, Clara (Harry) Urban, Thomas L., Jr. (Susie) Wendling, Johnie (Terri) Wendling, Paul (Lori) Wendling, and Ronald Wendling; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 10:30am at Newcomer Funeral Home-Kettering Chapel. Visitation for one hour prior (9:30am-10:30am). Burial to follow at Centerville Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.newcomerdayton.com.
