Scott Matthew Myers, age 59 of Miamisburg, passed away on June 15, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born on August 5, 1956 in Dayton, OH to Max and Phyllis (Gillis) Myers Sr..
He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis J. Myers.
Scott is survived by his loving wife, Laura (Faulkner) Myers; his daughter, Megan (Nate) Myers-Wolff; step-son, Jeremy Harmon; two grandchildren, Ethan and Hayden Wolff; father, Max (Janet) Myers, Sr.; two brothers, Max (Judi) Myers Jr., Hans (Deana) Myers; mother-in-law, Ruby Faulkner; father-in-law, Donald (Sharon) Faulkner; sister-in-law, Rhonda Audia; brother-in-law, Vance (Valerie) Faulkner; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Scott was employed for over 35 years in the concrete block and building industry. He was also the original "Duffy the Dog" for Clubhouse 22 and a Golden Glove Boxer. He was an avid sports fan who particularly loved the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He enjoyed playing a good game of cornhole while drinking an ice cold Budweiser. Scott hated to dress up, so please come as you are.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 24, 2016, from 4 pm to 7 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home- South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439. Funeral service will begin at 7 pm with Paul Wilkens officiating. Burial of cremated remains will take place in Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.
