Helen Nora (Anderson) Mullins, age 93, resident of Sycamore Glen, Miamisburg went home to be with the Lord Sunday, June 12, 2016. Helen was born February 2nd 1923 in Cincinnati Ohio to the late Lafe & Effie Mae Anderson.

She was a loving mother, a dedicated wife, and a beloved teacher.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Delbert E. Mullins, five brothers: Irvin, William, James, Vernon, and Donald, and 3 sisters: Ruby, Dorothy Mae & Delina. Survived by her children: Janice Chappell Young (Ralph) of Kentucky/Ohio, Sharon Knox of Westford, MA, Sondra Mullins (partner Harley) of West Carrollton, James Mullins (Candy) of Kettering; 9 grandchildren: Kristin Knox Thayer (Gabe) of Silver Springs, CT, Janna Knox Bardazzi (Stefano) of Switzerland, Allison Rose Knox of Oakland, CA, Benjamin Chappell of Centerville, Justin Wilson (Lee) of West Carrollton, Josh Patton of Miamisburg, Jared Patton of Chicago, IL, Brian Mullins (Pam) of Chicago, Il., Brittany (Micah) Garrabrant of Miamisburg; 5 step grand children: Todd and Chris Chappell, of Tipp City, Marsha (Gary) Meier of Melbourne, Australia, David (Penny) Young of Stanford, KY and Brandi (Steven) Burger; 8 great grandchildren: Gabrielle Thayer, Caitlyn Thayer, Alessio, Asia & Giordano Bardazzi; Joey Wilson, Ethan Jones, and Hannah McQueen; 9 great step grandchildren: Haley, Dane, Greg, and Morgan Meier, Chad and Clay Young, Katarinia, Riley, and Hayden Burger; and 2 step great, great, grandchildren: Dillon and Myla Meier.

Helen was a long time employee of Merrie Time Nursery School and the Dayton Christian Schools. She was a founding member of Hillside Chapel-Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Beavercreek and a volunteer for Kettering Hospital.

Private family burial at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville. Memorial Service at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek OH on Tuesday, June 14th at 1:00pm. Arrangements by Newcomer Funeral Home – Beavercreek. www.NewcomerDayton.com
