Bruce Allan Brown
age 71, of Reno, NV and formerly of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015 in Reno following an extended illness. He was born Nov. 22, 1944 in Dayton, the son of Philip Chalmer and Helen Marguerite (Hartle) Brown. He was a graduate of Colonel White High School and had retired from Grandview Hospital after 34 years service. He formerly was a member of Meadowdale Baptist Church in Dayton and had very recently joined Granite Hills Baptist Church in Reno.
Bruce was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Fran, on May 27, 1983, and she survives. Also survived by 2 sons, Samuel Joseph (Chasity) Finney and John Benjamin Finney; twin granddaughters, Iliana and Aliana Finney; 3 sisters, Philidina (Dr. Ralph) Keating; Judy (Don) Fink; Peggy (Steve) Peterson; 1 brother, Jim (Deanne) Brown; 2 sisters-in-law, Phyllis Ann Warner-Rose and Margaret Yvonne Foisy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held 11:00 AM Monday, Jan. 25, 2016 at Meadowdale Baptist Church, 3686 Haney Rd., Dayton 45416 with Pastor Dan Kincer officiating. Visitation prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM. Interment will be held privately at Miami Valley Memorial Gardens.
