Carmen Luisa Padovani, age 78 of Kettering, passed away Monday, January 27, 2020 at Kettering Medical Center. She was born August 9, 1941 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Felix and Maria Del Valle.

In addition to Felix and Maria, Carmen was preceded in death by her parents, Guido (Carmen Muñoz) Martinez and “aunt” Diana Muñoz; and several other elder siblings.

Carmen is survived by her husband of 55 years, Emilio Padovani; sons, Richard (Celeste) Padovani, Kenny (Connie) Padovani and Anthony (Holly) Padovani; grandchildren, Ryan, Evan, Marisa, Gino, Isabel and Samuel; siblings, Francisco Del Valle and Nicky (Heliodoro Berrios) Martinez as well many other extended family and friends.

Carmen was a 1959 graduate of Central High School in San Juan, Puerto Rico and later completed secretarial school before beginning her working career. She served as executive secretary to the principal at Colegio San Jose from 1976-1993 before retiring. Carmen also worked for 5/3 Bank in the Dayton area as a teller for almost 15 years, retiring in 2008 to spend time with her family and grandchildren. She volunteered at Kettering Medical Center, participated in prayer group at St. Albert's and served as an election poll worker over the last several years. Carmen was a member of the St. Albert the Great parish, Kettering and enjoyed her cats as well as shopping and cooking in her spare time.

Family will receive guests from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm Friday, January 31, 2020 at Newcomer Funeral Home – KETTERING. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12:00 noon and be officiated by Father Chris Worland. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association at 2555 S Dixie Dr #112, Dayton, OH 45409.
